I’m behind on favorites but they’re here! I actually only have a few favorites for this month as I’ve been using a lot of the same things for past few months. I bought a bunch of products at the end of February that I’m loving though so I’m expecting to have quite a few March favorites. For now though lets jump into February!
Favorite Makeup Products
I did a full review on this product you can read here so I’m not going to go very in depth on this. I find myself reaching for this daily. It’s great because even though I reach for it constantly, it’s a palette so I’m using different blushes. I’ve mostly been using Hush, Easy, and OC. I get so many compliments using this. I do have to layer some blushes more than others but overall I like the formula. I would definitely recommend this product for any fair skinned ladies out there. Unfortunately it isn’t going to work as well on darker skin tones.
Kylie Cosmetics Koko K Lip Liner ($29 for the lipkit, not sold individually.)
The Lipkits by Kylie are hard to procure but somehow I was able to get Koko K. I was hoping this would be a paper nudey pink based on some of the photos I had seen but as usual the lipstick pulls dark on me. I’ll get to that in a few moments though. However, the lip liner is almost exactly the color I was hoping for. I don’t feel like it lasts as long and I can probably find a drugstore color dupe in a Lipliner if I tried. It is really creamy though and applies easily.
I need to do a full review on both of these brands by for now I’ll give you this. There are things that I love and things that I hate but together these two make exactly the pinky nude color I’ve been looking for but can’t find. Alone Koko K pulls too dark and I thought I’m Nude would be more peachy based on photos but it’s a straight up nude. Like khaki tan. It makes me look dead. Together though the two work. Neither color changes significantly, but it changes just enough to not be too pink or too nude.
As far as negatives go the Jeffree Star lipstick is really messy and I hate the applicator. The Kylie lipstick sinks into my lip lines and accentuates them. The Kylie lipstick feels like it doesn’t dry down completely and leaves my lips slightly tacky. As I’ve found though that may just have to do with moisture in the air and it has been fairly wet here recently.
However I love the formula of the Jeffree Star lipstick. Lightweight, quick drying, and long lasting. And I love the thinness of the Kylee lipstick. I find it much easier to work with and it is comfortable to wear. Again, I’ll do a full review on both of these products soon.
That’s it! Those three (I guess four technically) products are all I have for favorites this month and I isn’t use any shit that sucked! I’m really looking forward tinny March Favorites and telling you guys all about the new things I’m trying this month.
