Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion ($5-$12)
I got a sample of this in an Influenster box and liked it so much I decided to get a large bottle. Apparently they sell facial moisturizers but I couldn’t find any at my local Walmart, which is too bad because that is exactly what I’m using this for.
Each night I get it of the shower and toss this on my face before going to bed. It keeps my face super moisturized, which I definitely need in the winter, and it doesn’t break me out. Besides that it has no scent! I plan on buying a smaller bottle to toss in my bag to have around when my hands get dry.

Looxi Beauty Aurora Highlighter in Wicked ($7.50-$15)
I love all three of the Looxi highlighters I picked up but I am really in love with Wicked. Which funnily enough was the one I was most scared of! I did a full review here so I’m not going to get into these too much but I will say I have gotten so many compliments when I wear this highlighter! They aren’t in stock right now but if you follow Jessica, the creator’s, Looxi Instagram she will update when they’re going to be back in stock. They’re a pretty hot commodity and go fast so definitely pay attention to that!
Wet ‘N’ Wild Contour Palette in Dulce de Leche The Highlight Side ($4.99)
I only like half of this palette. The light half. I’ve been using it for setting concealer and baking and it seems to work well. It’s light enough that it gives a bit of a brightening effect, it doesn’t have any flashback in photos, and it keeps my concealer from moving. Is it the best powder I’ve ever used? No, but it is the best I have right now and the one I’ve found myself reaching for over and over.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ($30)
This product is expensive and I do have some drugstore setting sprays but I haven’t tried them yet and don’t plan on it until I’m out of this. I love this. Enough so I am kind of being ridiculous and refusing to try those drugstore brands.
Anyway though… This setting spray is just so nice. It sets (obviously) all of my makeup making it last all day long and helps it meld together. It really helps keep my blush and highlighters from fading. If I don’t use this then they’ll typically be gone at the end of the day but if I do they only lighten up a bit. It also sort of mattifies and softens my makeup just giving it a more toned down, natural look. If I don’t like the drugstore sprays as much I will definitely be willing to pay the price for this product. It really does seem worth it to me.
Shit That Sucked
Wet ‘N’ Wild Contour Palette in Dulce de Leche The Contour Side ($4.99)
Yup. I hate this half. I know it’s gotten a lot of hype on YouTube and in blogs but I just don’t like it. It makes my face look muddy and dirty, and no matter what brush I use it how much I blend it out it always looks patchy. To be fair maybe it’s not this palette itself but powder contours overall, I’m not sure because this is really the first I’ve used, but I’m definitely not liking this and as much as I like the light half I’m probably not going to repurchase.
And that about wraps up the favorites! Bring on February and all the makeup. Valentine’s collections should be dropping soon so those should be fun to check out and I have a couple more Indie brands to review. I think this will be a fun makeup month!
