Yup that’s right I have yet another Colourpop haul. I just can’t help myself. Actually I’m waiting on makeup from OFRA and Looxi Beauty so I’ll have even more hauls. I went a little makeup crazy the last couple of weeks.
Anyway when KathleenLights said she had done another collab with Colorpop I figured it gave me an excuse to place an order and when I saw Telepathy I knew I needed to place an order! Guys it even more gorgeous in real life!! So let’s get into it!
Super Shock Shadow Quad Where the Night Is ($20)
I’m going to start with saying I never bought the KathleenLights collab Where the Light Is. I did buy the lipstick that went with that quad, Lumierre, back in the summer but this time I didn’t buy the lipsticks that go with this quad. So I can’t compare the two collaborations. I can say that I was dying every time I saw swatches of Telepathy and couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! I guess a lot of people complained that these shades don’t really work well with one another so you can get these as singles but I call bull shit. I think you can definitely make looks using these with one another. Maybe not work appropriate looks but it is called Where the Night Is!
As far as these shadows go they’re just as good, just as pigmented, and just as long lasting as all of the other Colourpop shadows I’ve worn. The quality is very high and they are just so inexpensive! I could just continue to rave and rave about them but I’ll stop.
This is a rose gold. A very pink rose gold. It says the finish is pearlized but I would say it’s more metallic. This is probably the most day wearable shade in the quad. I love it but I like rose gold/champagne type shades anyway. I just think they’re great for making my green eyes (and actually most eye colors) pop.
This is a maroon shade with gold glitter. It is considered a metallic finish. You can see the glitter in the pot photo more than the swatches but they show up fairly strong in real life when you see the swatches.
This to me is the other kind of wearable day color. I also think you could use this with Weenie without any problem. Again I love purples and these red type purples. Actually I have a lot of the purpley/burgundy/Mauves from Colourpop.
A black with gold glitter, this looks a lot more green/gold in the Colourpop shop photo and in the pot. You can see the black much more in the swatches. This is a metallic finish. I think this is going to be a lot of fun to do a smokey eye with!
Yup. This shade is gorgeous. It is a green gold with an ultra-metallic finish. I have no fucking idea how I’m going to wear this but I am going to all the time! I did a really fun bright eye today but I want to find more toned down, wearable looks. Something I could do at work. I’m sure if I use it with brown shades I can do that but I haven’t played around with it enough yet. I love it though.
Lippie Stix ($5)
I have a lot of Lippie Stix already but I feel like they’re mostly summer type colors (not that I really care about what is “supposed” to be worn during seasons but I’m probably not going to pull out my orange shades) so I decided to grab a couple colors. By the end of my days I have a feeling I’ll own all of the lipstick shades from Colourpop. I just love the formulas and they’re longevity.
I have been staring at Frida for awhile now. I won’t lie, Dani from CoffeeBreakWithDani annoys me a little. She just doesn’t always seem genuine and I don’t like that… But I see this lipstick she Collabed on with Colourpop and always think it looks so pretty. So I sucked it up and bought it. I love it so much I’m thinking about picking up a couple more just to have them around when I run out! It’s just a really simple warm pink. This is so everyday and so every season! I’ve already worn it every day since this order came in on Saturday. No joke. I feel like this would be a fairly universal color too. This was everything I wanted Lumierre to be but in a warm tone.
I keep seeing matte brown lips everywhere and they’re so nice I decided I really wanted to try it out. I could have done Limbo, Colourpop’s brown Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick shade but after having used other liquid lipsticks I’m kind of on the fence about Colourpop’s. I like them, they last long, but the shades I have are a bit flakey. Because of this I decided I would try the matte Lippie Stix shade first since I do like that formula.
I love this color! I do have a complaint though. The finish is more creme to me than matte. I can live with this but I was looking specifically for a matte shade. Also I definitely need to purchase the Pitch liner because this sticks to everywhere but the inside middle part of my lip. It slips right off there and I’m sure a liner would solve this. Otherwise though this shade is a gorgeous chocolate brown and I will get lots of use out of this.
Ultra Shock Highlighter in Highly Waisted ($8)
I love this highlighter shade! It’s a gorgeous pinky/peach with gold tones and it definitely has a duochrome finish. Which makes me really excited for my Looxie Beauty purchase! I couldn’t catch the duochrome that well with the pictures but trust me it’s there! It’s just so pretty. It is probably a little dark for my skin tone but I don’t even care. I think colored highlighters and duochrome highlighters are going to become pretty big this year so having this in my collection kind of hits both of those. I think this is going to become a favorite of mine.
Overall I’m happy with this purchase, as I usually am with Colourpop. If anyone wants to place they own order they can do so at Colourpop’s website.
