How far along? 27 weeks. We’ve made it to the third trimester!
Weight Gain: I’ve definitely made gains. I seem to be gaining much more regularly now, though I am still down 9lbs since my pre-pregnancy weight.
So I also started thinking about the babies weight. The tech said about 2 1/2lbs and in the 40th percentile but everything I’ve read said that the baby should now be a little under to just at 2lbs. So was she confused? Did she mean 60th percentile? She was really flight, nice, but flighty. From everything I’ve read our baby is measuring larger, which does make me feel better even if it does mean he’s putting more pressure on my cervix. They’ll do another growth at my scan in a week and a half so I guess I’ll find out then.
Maternity Clothes: I’ve been in them for awhile now, though the cheap cotton dresses have been pulled out of the back of my closet and are working just as well as maternity clothes.
Stretch Marks: Oh yeah. My stomach looks like a watermelon.
Sleep: I’m still sleeping a decent amount. I get up 3-4 times in the night to pee and I’m still getting used to being able to see the stars out the windows but all and all the sleeping isn’t bad.
Best Moment This Week: Well seeing the baby again was good, and finding out my cervix hadn’t really changed. Then making the third trimester today. Another milestone but next Saturday when we hit 28 weeks, that milestone is even better.
Movement: All the time. He’s flipped over and is breach so he’s been kicking my bladder and cervix more, which is not at all comfortable. Also I can’t imagine cervix kicking is recomended in my condition. I just hope he flips back over. I ‘ll take the painful rib kicks over him doing anything that may weaken my cervix even more!
Food Cravings: Nothing I have to have, though I am about to go make a milk shake! Yum.
Anything making you queasy?: This has mostly gone away, though if I take my prenatal in the morning without eating that always upsets my stomach a bit.
Baby Bump?: Ha. Is there ever! Pictures below!
Symptoms: Constant urination, stretching, and round ligament pain. Also my super dry skin is back. I thought we were done with that but nope. I’m partially blaming the changing weather.
Labor Signs?: Still nothing besides the thinning cervix. I also haven’t felt any braxton hicks contractions in a few weeks so score to that! Not only are they annoying but they make me worry even more. I’m still constantly on the lookout for things but I can say I’ve felt a little better the past week than I did that first month (20-24 weeks).
Belly Button In or Out?: In. It is so deep I honestly don’t know if it will pop. I can still put my finger in up to my first knuckle.
Wedding Rings on or off?: On. I’ve found I’m swelling less in the new house. I’m assuming it has something to do with the change in the air but I have no idea. I don’t know anything about science so I’m totally making that up, but it sounds good right?
Happy or Moody?: Still happy though I’ve had my few break downs. Today is a hard day for me too. A year ago today they confirmed that I had lost my first baby. I’ll write a post about that in a couple of days though because I’m also coming right up on a year since the D&E. That will be Thursday. Today though I’m trying to celebrate a milestone, even with a heavy heart and nostalgic thoughts.
Miss Anything?: This time of year when it is so nice and warm, and the river guides are back around, I miss drinking more than ever. I want to be able to join everyone else out on the huge porch with a Porter or a raspberry vodka and lemonade while discussing the upcoming rafting season and getting a tan. I won’t be able to be on the river this summer either! I suppose I could do the lower river but what if my water broke out there or something? Nope!
Looking forward to?: Hitting the 28 week mark next Saturday. That’s exciting. I’m also still waiting for my sister-in-law to have her baby. She’s two days past her due date today and they’re going to talk to her about inducing at her appointment on Monday. I just want my little nephew to be here already!! He’s clearly as stubborn as his daddy.
