It’s No-Baby Wednesday! One more way to distract myself. Today’s NBW is going to be another unboxing, or technically an unbagging. I’ll be sharing my Ipsy bag with you and giving it a review in the process. Ipsy, much like Boxycharm, is a monthly beauty subscription. Ipsy comes in a new bag each month and has 5 sample sized products. On occasion you will get a full size, but for the most part they are sample sizes. Unlike Boxycharm, Ipsy tailors the products you receive based on a beauty personality test and your reviews of the prior products they have sent you. Ipsy is $10 a month. Unforunately I threw this month’s card away so I won’t be able to tell you what each product, and ultimately the bag, is worth. Sorry people. Okay, let’s get down to business!
Each month Ipsy sends your products in a different makeup bag. Sometimes they are cuter than others, sometimes they are made better than others. This month is this cute little white and orange polka dot bag. I like that the shape is different than most of the bags, more oblong. I don’t like that it seems to be made out of a cheap plastic material. Think, the stuff little kid pool floats are made out of. It has that weird plastic smell to it. However, this material makes it great for the beach as it should be waterproof! Not my favorite bag but still cute.

Pores No More is exactly what it says a pore refiner and primer. It has a slight tint to it, but nothing that is really going to be noticeable once you rub it in. This goes on fairly evenly. It does have a slight greasy feel at first but once you rub it in it goes away fairly fast. I don’t have much need for a product like this so I won’t be buying a full size but all in all I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.
Flying Solo in Half Naked

I love eye products. I would take a million eye shadows if I could. When I saw this was an orange color I was a little nervous but once I put it on it has a golden tint to it that I really like. It goes very well with my green eyes also. And when I went to take pictures I found a secret compartment with a mirror and a brush! That makes it perfect for traveling in your purse for quick touch ups. It didn’t last as long as I would like and tended to crease by the end of the day. I would give this 3 ½ out of 5 stars.
Mongongo Kip Conditioner in Green Orange & Ginger

A few months ago we got a Jersey Shore Sun sunscreen that I wasn’t a huge fan of. I might not be the best judge though because I don’t wear sunscreen ever. Yes, I can hear your collective groan, but I am stubborn and that shit pisses me off. Anyway… I wasn’t particularly excited to try this product. However it goes on nice and clean and has a great scent. I love that it isn’t your usual cherry, grape, orange, etc. The inclusion of the ginger definitely gave it a nice little zing you wouldn’t necessarily expect in a lip balm. The product also is nice and moisturizing. My lips felt great after using it. I would give this 3 ½ out of 5 stars.
Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk

This is definitely the product I was least excited to try. I got this back in my BirchBox a few months ago, before I cancelled my subscription and switched over to BoxyCharm. I don’t really have a need for a dry shampoo and I dye my hair dark, so it tends to make me look like I’m wearing a powdered wig if I don’t get all the product brushed out. This was no different. Also, It left a weird residue behind. No matter how hard I tried to brush and rub it out, it still had this weird feeling. I would say this gets 1 ½ out of 5 stars.
Of all the products in this bag this was the one I was most excited to try out. I’ve heard awesome things about Urban Decay and have always wanted to try. Also, I was running out of mascara so it can’t hurt to have a backup. This mascara went on nice and smooth and definitely lengthened my lashes. It doesn’t do much for making them look thicker, but that has been a problem for me with every mascara I’ve ever tried. The color is nice and dark, the formula is great. It isn’t too thick or two thin, and it doesn’t clump my lashes together like some mascaras. It make me wonder just how awesome it would be if I used it with the primer the way you are supposed to (the primer was not included.) I would give this 4 ½ out of 5 stars.
In general this wasn’t one of my favorite Ipsy bag. I do love the mascara and will use the eyeshadow and lip balm. The other stuff was a pretty big miss for me though. Let’s cross our fingers for next month’s bag! I haven’t received a nail polish in a while so that would be fun, or any crazy new eye color. I love trying new eye products! Does anyone else subscribe to Ipsy? If so what did you get and what were your thoughts? Anyone interested in subscribing can do so here.
Until I baby update on Friday!
